Important Notes: This text is 1 out of 2 silver scrolls found and was also used as an amulet which contains an additional text not found in the Hebrew Bible.

           h/hu. May be blessed h/sh-
           -[e] by YHW[H,]
          the warrior/helper and
          the rebuker of
          [e]vil: May bless you,
          YHWH,
          keep you.
          Make shine, YH-
          -[W]H, His face
          [upon] you and g-
          -rant you p-
          -[ea]ce.

Translation (KH2 - Numbers 6) formatted into verses:

(6:24) May YHWH bless you [and] keep you

(6:25) YH[W]H make His face shine [upon] you, [and be gracious unto you

(6:26) [YHWH lift up His countenance upon you,] and grant you p[ea]ce.

 


Hebrew (Masoretic - Numbers 6):

יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה וְיִשְׁמְרֶֽךָ׃ ס (6:24)

יָאֵ֨ר יְהוָ֧ה ׀ פָּנָ֛יו אֵלֶ֖יךָ וִֽיחֻנֶּֽךָּ׃ ס (6:25)

יִשָּׂ֨א יְהוָ֤ה ׀ פָּנָיו֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְיָשֵׂ֥ם לְךָ֖ שָׁלֹֽום׃ ס (6:26)   


English Translation (Masoretic - Numbers 6):

(6:24) May YHWH bless you and keep you; 

(6:25) YHWH make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; 

(6:26) YHWH lift up His countenance upon you, and grant you peace.

 

Conclusion: Even though this scroll was used as an amulet, it shows the antiquity of text of the book of Numbers.  The consonants of the Hebrew in these short verses match our Hebrew Masoretic text today.
