About This Blog

The purpose of this blog is to share the beauty of Biblical history and preservation, gazing into ancient manuscripts.  The manuscript evidence in favor of the Holy Bible is incredible --- more so than any other ancient document.

This blog will share information, videos, blogs, resources, and pictures related to various bodies of manuscripts, specifics scrolls, codices, versions, translations, biblical paraphrases, commentaries, text types, textual comparisons, scribal practices, and other resources related to manuscript traditions.  We will be primarily looking at Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts of both the Hebrew Bible and New Covenant Writings in addition to popular and ancient translations into other languages.

Concerning the many Greek New Covenant manuscripts, we will primarily be examining some of the oldest manuscripts up to the 7th century AD --- up to the time when the Islamic Quran was invented.  An interesting note: in contrast to what is taught in many mainstream circles of Islam, even the Quran itself within its Surahs (chapters) affirm the authenticity of the Torah(Tawrat), Psalms(Zabur), and Gospel(Injil) during the time of the Quran's composition --- manuscript evidence farther proves the preservation of these ancient writings past that date.

As far as later Greek manuscripts, we will only be focusing on the most significant manuscripts as there are too many available manuscripts to properly examine in a lifetime.  Even so, we will at least list all of the available manuscripts and categorize them, but we will only translate and examine what I mentioned above to narrow our study to the most significant items.

Let's learn and grow together.

As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. ~(Proverbs 27:17 NKJV)
